About Heather and Eric

Eric and Heather first discovered their love for road trips when they first started dating. Shortly after meeting, Heather relocated to New Jersey for grad school, while Eric remained in South Carolina, also for grad school. During the first years of our relationship, we spent many hours and miles driving to see each other, to see friends, and to enjoy the beauty of the US.

After relocating to Beaufort, South Carolina, we continued to travel frequently, including trips up and down the East Coast and as far as Colorado and South Dakota.

In the summer of 2014, we borrowed an RV from a close friend and headed west. Our two week journey was inspirational and aspirational. We traveled first to Nashville to visit family, then to Bayfield, Wisconsin. After exploring the Apostle Islands, we traveled to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, across the Mackinac Bridge, through the lower part of Michigan, then across to West Virginia, and finally returned home after two weeks on the road.

This trip was an amazing opportunity to learn more about ourselves and our desire to explore the US in a deliberate and meaningful way. We batted around the idea of buying an RV for a few months before discovering the GMC models. We spent a few months searching for the right coach before discovering Harvey just outside Nashville.

We look forward to sharing our journeys as we tack on the miles. We’ll also share the many challenges of operating a vintage RV.

We’ll see you on the road.
