Review: Edisto Beach SP Campground
We just returned from a two night “shakedown cruise” at the Edisto Beach State Park. We were eager to get out for our first camping trip with Harvey, and we figured that we’d discover new challenges once we actually lived with him for a few days. (We did. More on that soon.) For now, I offer you this review of the Beach Campground at the Edisto Beach State Park on Edisto Island, South Carolina. Edisto Island is a...
Review: Little Sand Bay Campground
Our first night ever in a campground has also turned out to be one of our best. In our borrowed RV last summer, we made our first stop the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore near Bayfield, Wisconsin. There are a handful of campgrounds to choose from in the area, most of which are not heavily advertised nor reviewed. The propane system is working to power the range. Both roof A/C units are working. The sewer valve holds; only the hose needs to be replaced. Replacement wiper blades found, ordered, and installed. (They fit! Trico 72-200) He cleans up real...

Harvey’s upholstery has already been replaced with something more neutral, and its in pretty good condition now that it has been steam cleaned. Even if I wanted the original plaid (I might), I am sure I could never find something similar. Reupholstery...
Meet Harvey Picklesimer
Before we found the motorhome for us, we wanted to name our RV “Harvey,” but when we found our rig in Nashville we discovered that it already had a name: “The Big Pickle.” A compromise was in order. On December 28 we cracked a bottle of champagne over the trailer hitch and christened him Harvey “The Pickle” Picklesimer. Here is a first look at the interior and exterior as we inherited it. Future...
